Cycletide privacy policy
Cycletide is not available yet. This is the pre-release version of this document: it describes the app as it is built today, and it will be finalised before the app is released.
Who we are. Cycletide is made by PT Health & Vital Care, a division of PT TECHNOLOGIES LLC (PT TECHNOLOGIES MCHJ), STIR 313308723, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Contact: support@techatpt.com.
At a Glance
- Local Storage Only: Your cycle, symptom, and pregnancy records reside strictly on your device within an encrypted database. We never see them.
- No Account Required: You can use the app without providing a name, email address, or creating an account.
- Zero Tracking: The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. We never sell or monetize your personal data.
- Opt-In Features: Any optional features that transmit data off your device remain disabled by default and require your explicit activation. They are described below.
Information Stored on Your Device
Everything you log (period dates, bleeding, mood, energy, sleep, symptoms, cervical secretions, optional sexual activity and contraception, basal temperature, ovulation tests, medication notes, free-text notes, pregnancy dates and notes, bookmarks) stays on your device alongside your app settings. The database is encrypted using a key secured within your device's secure storage, ensuring that device backup files cannot be read without it; the key never leaves the device. You maintain total control: you can export your records in CSV, JSON, or PDF formats, or delete them individually or all at once via Settings → Privacy Center. If you add the home-screen widget, it shows only neutral words (“Tap to open”) unless you switch discreet widgets off; its text is stored on your device for the widget to read and is never sent anywhere.
Note: Because your records remain on your device, uninstalling the app or losing your device will remove your data unless you have exported a backup or enabled encrypted cloud backup.
Information That Leaves Your Device
- Purchases. If you start the trial on iPhone or buy Lifetime Premium, Apple or Google processes the transaction under their own privacy policies. We receive the transaction details needed to confirm your purchase (product, transaction identifier and, on Android, a purchase token). If server verification is enabled, these are sent to our backend, checked with Apple or Google, and we keep a one-way hash of the transaction identifier and the result, which are deleted automatically after 24 months. None of this contains health information.
- Encrypted backup (optional, off by default). If you turn it on, your records are encrypted on your device with a key only you hold (shown to you as a recovery key) and the encrypted file is stored on our backend, hosted on Google Cloud (Firebase) in the United States. We cannot read it. We store it with an identifier derived from your key, not with your name or email. While backup is on, your device uploads a new encrypted copy by itself about once a day while you use the app, when your records have changed (and at least once a month), and whenever you tap Back up now. A backup that has not been updated for 24 months is deleted automatically. You can delete it at any time; deleting all data in the app also deletes it.
- Free preview check (if enabled). So the 7-day preview cannot be restarted by reinstalling the app, starting it sends, on Android, a one-way hash of an identifier Android gives this app on your device (ANDROID_ID), with the start time; our backend hashes it again with a secret and keeps only that hash and the first start time, and deletes them automatically 24 months after the start. On iPhone, the app asks Apple's DeviceCheck service to mark that this device has used the preview; Apple keeps that single flag and we store nothing. Neither contains health information, your name or an advertising identifier, and neither is used for tracking or advertising.
- Partner sharing (optional, off by default; Lifetime Premium). If you invite a partner, your device sends our backend a short summary containing only what you choose (your cycle status, your next estimated period and/or your pregnancy week, plus your display name if you set one), encrypted on your device with a key that travels only inside your invitation. We cannot read the summary. We also store one-way hashes of random identifiers created on your device and your partner's device, which are not linked to your name, email or phone number. Your symptoms, notes, sexual activity, contraception, fertile-window estimates and detailed history are never shared. An invitation can be used once, within 15 minutes. It is a link to our website; the part that lets your partner join comes after the # sign, which browsers never send to a website, so our website never receives it. Stopping sharing, sending a new invitation, your partner choosing to stop viewing, or deleting all data deletes the summary from our backend. Your partner sees what you share on their own device; once seen, we cannot control copies they make, such as screenshots. You can share with one person at a time. If your free preview ends without a purchase, your summary stops updating; your partner keeps seeing the last one, with its date, until you stop sharing. If your phone does not update the summary for 90 days (for example, after you uninstall the app), it is deleted from our backend automatically. On iPhone, if you delete Cycletide and install it again, your sharing and viewing from before end the first time the app opens.
- Viewing a partner's summary (optional, free). If you accept someone's invitation, your device keeps the invitation key and a random identifier it creates; our backend stores only a one-way hash of that identifier, so it can check that you were invited. You can view one person's summary at a time; accepting another invitation ends the previous one. Two people can share with each other at the same time; each direction is separate. Tapping Stop viewing, or deleting all data, removes your access and the summary you were viewing from our backend.
- Notifications are scheduled on your device. No notification service receives your information.
- Network metadata. Like any online service, our backend and its hosting provider process your IP address and request details when you use the optional features. Our backend does not keep them; our hosting provider's request logs are deleted after 30 days.
Our Commitments - What We Never Do
- Sell or rent personal information
- Share health data for advertising or marketing purposes
- Build behavioral advertising profiles
- Incorporate third-party analytics, ad networks, or tracking SDKs
- Use AI models to analyze your private health records
Children
Cycletide is for people aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because your records stay on your device, we do not know your age: the app asks only for an optional age group, which stays on your device (and inside your encrypted backup, if you turn one on, which we cannot read). If you are under 18, we encourage you to talk with a parent, guardian or healthcare professional about your health. If a child under 13 has used Cycletide, the records can be deleted on the phone in Settings → Privacy Center → Delete all data, which also deletes the encrypted backup and ends partner sharing. For help, contact support@techatpt.com.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data and to withdraw consent. Most of your data is only on your device and fully under your control in the app. For data on our backend (encrypted backup, partner sharing summaries, purchase verification records), contact support@techatpt.com, or use Settings → Privacy Center → Ask about your data; we answer within 30 days. In Canada, you can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or in Quebec to the Commission d'accès à l'information. If you live in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains your rights over consumer health data; we apply it to everyone in the United States.

Where Cycletide Is Offered, and Where Information Is Stored
Cycletide is offered in the United States and Canada. Everything you record is processed on your device. When you use an optional feature, we process only what that feature needs:
- With your consent, given when you turn the feature on and withdrawn when you turn it off: the encrypted backup and partner sharing.
- To provide what you asked for: confirming a purchase with Apple or Google, and checking that the free preview is used only once.
- To keep the service secure: network information such as your IP address, used to limit abuse and keep the service running, and never to learn anything about your health.
These features run on our backend, hosted by Google Cloud (Firebase) in the United States. If you live in Canada, including Quebec, this information is stored outside your province and country, where other laws apply and authorities may be able to access it under those laws. It is protected wherever it is: backups and partner summaries are encrypted on your device with keys we never hold, and the other records are one-way hashes and purchase results, with no health information. Before communicating this information outside Quebec, we assessed its privacy impact, as Quebec law requires.
Security Incidents
If a security incident creates a real risk of serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the authorities the law requires, such as the Commission d'accès à l'information in Quebec and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Because we hold no contact details, we will notify people through a notice in the app and on health.techatpt.com. We keep a record of every incident. To report a security problem, see our security page.
Changes
We will update this policy before any version of the app that collects or shares information differently, and show the date of the latest version. When the policy changes, the app tells you once and links to the new version.
