Cycletide medical disclaimer
Cycletide is not available yet. This is the pre-release version of this document: it describes the app as it is built today, and it will be finalised before the app is released.
Cycletide provides general health information and data estimates calculated from your personal logs. It is not a medical device and does not offer professional medical advice, clinical diagnoses, or medical treatment.
- Estimates Are Projections, Not Guarantees: Predicted periods, fertile windows, and ovulation dates are statistical estimates. They cannot definitively confirm ovulation, and they are less reliable with irregular cycles, hormonal contraception, after pregnancy, around perimenopause and with some conditions.
- Strictly Not Contraception: Never rely on app predictions or fertile window estimates to determine when unprotected sex is safe or as a form of birth control.
- Not a Pregnancy Test: Cycletide cannot confirm or detect pregnancy.
- Symptom Guides Do Not Diagnose: They help you describe your experiences and prepare questions. Symptoms often have several possible causes.
- Where the Content Comes From: Articles, symptom guides and journeys are general information written by our editorial team from public health sources (such as the NHS, the World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and each one lists the sources behind its statements. Every statement was checked against its source when it was written. The content has not been reviewed by a clinician, and it is not personal medical advice.
- Tell Us About a Mistake: If something looks wrong or out of date, tap Report a mistake under the article, guide or journey, or write to support@techatpt.com. We correct errors, and each article shows when it was last checked against its sources.
- Get Help: If you are worried about your health, speak to a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
