Phasewell medical disclaimer
Phasewell is not available yet. This is the pre-release version of this document: it describes the app as it is built today, and it will be finalised before the app is released.
Phasewell gives general health information and date estimates calculated from what you record. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
- Estimates are not facts. Predicted periods, fertile windows and ovulation dates are calendar estimates. They cannot confirm ovulation, and they are less reliable with irregular cycles, hormonal contraception, after pregnancy, around perimenopause and with some conditions.
- Not contraception. Do not use the app to decide when you can have unprotected sex.
- Not a pregnancy test. The app cannot tell whether you are pregnant.
- Symptom guides do not diagnose. They help you describe your experiences and prepare questions. Symptoms often have several possible causes.
- Where the content comes from. Articles are general information written from public health sources, and each one lists the sources behind its statements. They are not personal medical advice.
- Get help. If you are worried about your health, speak to a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
